On May 2, huge dust storms and catastrophic winds, intensified by record high temperatures, tore across northern India, toppling trees and structures. In some places, like this Himalayan city, heavy rainfall and hail followed. Officials said more than 125 people were killed— the most from such a storm in 20 years.
