MEXICO
Tijuana, Mexico— People talk to friends and relatives on the other side of a wall separating Mexico and the United States on November 6. Donald Trump’s election victory in the U.S. has frightened many on both sides of the barrier. During the campaign, Trump blasted Mexicans as murderers and rapists, threatened to build a wall along the southern U.S. border and deport millions of immigrants without documentation, and said he would renegotiate trade deals between the two countries. Some of that may be bluster, but many in Mexico have begun to fear a recession will result from Trump’s victory.
