DNA: What’s your background?

Denis Vega: I was born in the port city of Algeciras in the south of Spain. I am the third of four brothers. I grew up in a gypsy family.

What brought you to porn?

My arrival in porn was due to a love disappointment. I was submerged in a depression. I decided to change my life and travelled to Madrid to present myself at a casting for porn movies. I was hired by Menatplay.com. After a while they began to publish my first scenes and I took a leap from anonymity to world fame. I learned from them for years, later becoming an adult film director.

What were your adolescent years like?

I was a studious child but I loved to laugh and was always joking. In school there was a little bullying. These were years when homosexuality was not as well accepted as it is today. My embarrassing moments, most of the time, were due to the shame that others would make me feel. But I was a teenager who fought against his feelings; I did not want to be gay, I did not want my taste for men, and I was not prepared to accept myself. Until one day I saw the prospect of marriage to a girl. I escaped from that situation as soon as I could, accepted myself as a homosexual and started on my way.
