The golden rules for uploading a listing
● Always upload an image – or, preferably, as many as you can from multiple angles. Buyers will appreciate the honesty, plus it makes it less likely they will claim an item was not as described. Photograph the item in a light, bright location and make sure it’s not blurry.
● Describe the item in as much detail as you can muster. If it helps, use the following subheadings: size, brand, condition, colour and style.
● Write a simple, informative subject line. Think about what you would search for if you wanted to find the item; usually a combo of the subheads listed above, plus buying acronyms if desired. use the most obvious terms – eg, dress not gown.
● Spellcheck every word of your listing, as buyers won’t be able to find your item if it’s wrongly spelled.
● Get the maximum listing time and, if using an auction site, close the listing on a Sunday evening, which is known to be a busy time.
