Dear Readers, This week we are celebrating the generation we call the baby boomers: those of us who were born between 1946 and 1964 – I squeeze in at 1962. The world changed post-war, and we changed with it. In fact, we drove that change. Ours is one of the most progressive generations in history. We sent a man to the moon. We remember black and white TV and party lines, but we were the earliest adopters of the internet (or worldwide web as we used to call it). According to Judith Holder’s glorious piece this week, we have mastered the art of growing old gracefully and know that you’re never too old to have a giggle. Or too past it to take up a new hobby, or perfect an old one. Like putting our feet up and reading a good book. And why not? As Liz Hogkinson discovers, it’s official, reading makes you a nicer person. So does golf, apparently. Certainly there are some tempting golf holidays on the travel pages and some equally tempting summer party dresses on fashion. All ‘our’ age appropriate of course… Until next week Sam Taylor, Editor

First beginning in February 1885, The Lady’s reputation for setting the benchmark in quality reading has always been at the forefront of importance. With their beautiful head office situated in the renowned Covent Garden, The Lady magazine has always been the quintessential choice of magazine for the elegant lady.

The Lady was initially infamous for its domestic advertisements for a variation of house staff and survived through two World Wars to continue serving ladies alike with cleverly chosen articles. The magazine maintains a focus on cooking, home decor, gardening, health and fashion. With the many changes to editors since the magazine launched, The Lady continues to modernise in content and style, whilst always keeping its original style and quirks.

The Lady is now fast becoming England’s most talked about women’s magazine and continues to provide thousands of readers with the most enthusing articles. Whether you’re looking for a regular update on current affairs, or just tips and advice to keep you at the top of society, The Lady is available to provide it all.

A The Lady digital magazine subscription is a must-have for ‘gentlewomen’ everywhere to enjoy:

  • Thought provoking and inspirational articles by hand-picked writers
  • Ever-changing beauty and fashion advice
  • Tips on gardening and interior decor
  • Hundreds of delicious recipes to treat yourself or your family
  • Delivered direct to your device every month

Je ontvangt 12 edities gedurende een periode van 1 jaar The Lady abonnement op een tijdschrift.

Opmerking: Digitale edities bevatten niet de omslagitems of supplementen die je zou vinden bij gedrukte exemplaren.
