ARGYLL and Bute MP Brendan O’Hara has called on the UK government to stop the Royal Bank of Scotland’s (RBS) planned programme of closures.
Branches due to be shut this year include those in Inveraray and on Barra.
In a debate at Westminster on Wednesday January 24, Mr O’Hara repeated his call for the government to use its power as the largest shareholder to intervene and stop the ‘socially damaging’ closures of the branches in Inveraray, Rothesay, Campbeltown and on Barra.
