Residents invited to public event

THE newly-formed Scottish Land Commission has announced a series of community ‘meet and greet’ events, the next one of which is in Oban.

The Scottish Land Commission, which was officially established on April 1, 2017, is holding an informal event to give people across the region the opportunity to find out more about the work of the organisation and to meet its chairman, Andrew Thin, and land commissioner Lorne MacLeod.

The event is being held at the Corran Halls, Oban, on Thursday August 17 from 7pm to 8.30pm.
