AN OBAN drug user was sentenced to six months in prison after he pled guilty to struggling with police officers and swallowing a quantity of drugs in a supermarket car park on March 25.
David MacGillivray, 39, of 9 MacGregor Court, was said by police officers to be behaving in a ‘furtive manner’ by ‘dodging around cars and trying to hide’ when he came to their attention.
Two police officers tried to apprehended MacGillivray, but he obstructed them, and the incident ended with the accused swallowing a small packet, Oban Sheriff Court heard on Monday.
