PLANS to impose a 20mph limit through Oban town centre would bring no benefit, Oban community councillors have argued in a consultation.
Instead, they said, Transport Scotland should address the fatal accidents on rural roads in the region.
The Scottish Government’s national transport agency sent the consultation to Oban Community Council on October 26 asking for its views on ministers’ proposals to reduce the 30mph speed limit in part of Oban to 20mph.
