SWT summer fair raises £1,200 for wildlife cause

The Scottish Wildlife Trust’s (SWT) annual Summer Fair at Dunollie Museum Castle and Grounds attracted a good crowd last Saturday in spite of rather mixed weather, when locals and holidaymakers gathered in the marquee on the lawn.

Visitors were entertained by a hawk and owl display by Paul Finnigan, music from the The Harpees and Ann Bar and friends, wildlife photographs from Oban Photographic Club alongside displays from the SWT and the Hebridean Whale and Dolphin Trust. Other stalls included wildlife artist Jane Smith signing her book on Oronsay, a bread-maker from Lismore and face-painting by Lindsay MacLean. Light lunches were served and there was an excellent tombola and lucky dip and other games for the younger folk.
