OBAN Lorne welcomed mid-table Annan RFC to Glencruitten on Saturday for the second meeting between the sides this season. Oban have never beaten Annan, who recorded a narrow 10-0 win over the Green Machine back in October.

A win in this fixture was much needed for the home side, who have struggled for any consistency this season and find themselves sitting second bottom in the league table. At a damp, dreich and dreary Glencruitten, both teams failed to create any notable attacking phases of play in what proved to be a dismal 80 minutes of rugby.
