This week more than 70 residents on the Ross of Mull overwhelmingly gave a vote no confidence in the island’s ambulance cover following a question and answer session with the Scottish Ambulance Service (SAS) and NHS Highland in Bunessan on Monday.

Residents on the island say they don’t feel safe because they do not think the out-of-hours emergency service – to reach patients within an hour – is working considering the geography of the island.
