WALKING poles, banana peel and four kilograms of chewing gum was some of the rubbish collected from Ben Nevis last week.

Fourteen volunteers took part in a litter pick on Saturday which resulted in 120 kilograms of rubbish being collected by the team.

Twenty one bags of rubbish were collected as the helpers picked up hundreds of tissues, orange peel, bottle tops, a tent, old wrappers and more.
