LEWS CASTLE in Stornoway made it through to the final of the Great British Buildings Restoration of the Year in the Victorian category, featuring on the Channel 4 programme after impressing judges with its Gothic-style restoration.
The castle fell into disrepair after sitting empty for decades, until Comhairle nan Eilean Siar led a £19.5 million regeneration project.
Travel and leisure company Natural Retreats has played a significant role in the project through a partnership with the comhairle.
