Transport Scotland/BEAR: Mr Fotheringham read two letters he had received from Transport Scotland.
One was to resident Jonathan Binny, rejecting his proposal to reduce the speed limit between Spean Bridge and Roy Bridge, and a proposal to place double white lines on the A86 at Inveroy. The letter did say, however, that Transport Scotland intends to carry out a study of the road between the two villages. A Transport Scotland spokesperson told the Lochaber Times: ‘We assess the safety performance of the trunk road network annually.
