LUNDAVRA Primary School pupils were rewarded for their quick litter-picking with some fast food last week.
Primary 6/7 students joined staff from McDonald’s in Fort William on a litter pick last Tuesday.
They collected 12 bags of rubbish in 45 minutes on the path behind McDonald’s and around An Aird. Naomi Lawrie, shift manager of McDonald’s, took the lead on the litter pick and the youngsters were treated to a ‘happy meal’ for their hard work. Laura Forbes of McDonald’s said the fast food chain holds the litter picks a couple of times a year to be more eco-friendly and keep the town tidy and they try to get schools involved.
