‘Urgent’ call for crash barriers at site of A816 tragedy in July

CALLS for crash barriers on the ‘uneven surfaces’ of the A816 will be considered by Argyll and Bute Council, but not until the findings into a tragic accident in July are determined by the Procurator Fiscal.

The death of toddlers Leia, three, and Seth, two, McCorrisken, highlighted the need for a barrier near Kilmelford.

Another accident last week saw a car missing the loch by metres after hitting a gabion basket.
