Driver forced police to slam on brakes

A MAN was fined £500 after admitting driving in a dangerous manner and without a valid licence or insurance near Fort William.

Tiezhu Liang pleaded guilty to driving dangerously on the opposing carriage on the A82 near Torlundy on July 20 this year when he appeared in Fort William Sheriff Court last week (December 6).

The 32-year-old from London was seen by officers in an unmarked vehicle attempting to overtake when it was not safe to do so, forcing the driver of a campervan which was travelling in the opposite direction to take evasive action.
