Leading care at home company Mears is giving this information to older people across Scotland as we head into a cold winter.
Lynsey Young service manager for Mears in Oban, says: ‘We want to ensure that older people in our communities and people with medical conditions affected by cold temperatures are aware of the simple things they can do to stay warm this winter. Our support workers are out and about in all weathers looking after those people in our communities we support. But it’s great to have a bit of neighbourly help too.’
1. It helps to be a good neighbour, so pop in on anyone nearby who you know to ensure they are keeping well in the colder spells we might have this winter, and to provide a bit of company to someone you know in your community.
