Meeting to discuss Port Beag slipway

A MEETING to discuss the future of Oban’s Port Beag slipway takes place tonight (Thursday May 17) at 7pm in the Corran Halls.

Councillor Roddy McCuish explained: ‘There has been some work carried out at Port Beag. The contractor left it in a better state than they found it. We saw this as an opportunity to remove old boats and trailers. [People] are terrified we might develop it. There are no plans to develop it.

‘This is an ideal opportunity to find out what is going on there and what the plans are for the future.’
