THE BRITISH astronaut Major Tim Peake went to the International Space Station a couple of years ago.

During the trip, he had the opportunity to call his family from space, to speak to them on Christmas Eve. He dialled the number. When the phone was answered, he began by asking: ‘Am I speaking to planet Earth?’

Unfortunately, he had called the wrong number. He was not talking to his family, but to Betty Barker, an elderly lady in West Sussex.
