With around 23,000 people visiting each year, Cowal Highland Gathering is getting ready to welcome the world back to Dunoon between 25-27 August.
Renowned for its unique atmosphere, world-class competitions, magnificent Highland setting and spine tingling Salute to the Chieftain, Cowal Highland Gathering is a great family day out.
Showcasing Scotland’s finest traditions and sports, including pipe band competitions where bands strive to win the oldest pipe band trophy – the prestigious Argyll Shield, visitors will also find fiercely contested heavy athletics. This year teams from Scotland, Iceland and Germany will do battle to see which nation has what it takes to lift the Cowal Heavy Athletics title.
