A HEART transplant patient is walking through Lochaber as part of a 5,000-mile trek in support of British Heart Foundation’s (BHF) life-saving research.
Kieran Sandwell, 45, from Hertfordshire, is taking on the challenge, called ‘Trail of Two Hearts’, to mark the end of his long battle with heart disease after having a heart transplant eight years ago.
After setting off on February 1 from London, Kieran has already walked 1,000 miles. He hopes to raise £100,000 for BHF. Kieran will be passing through more than 60 towns and villages during his time in the Highlands including Mallaig and along Loch Linnhe.
