Mòd shop generates heaps of cash and laughter

A KILT sent to Canada, some old books to Sweden, a fiddle to Germany and a fascinator that the buyer intends wearing to the Melbourne Cup horse race in Australia.

These are just a handful of the items that have passed through the shop in Fort William’s High Street which was opened last month to raise funds for this week’s Royal National Mòd.

And if you need to ask anyone about the levels of excitement the Mòd brings to a town or area each year, just ask those who have staffed the Fort William shop for the last few weeks.
