FOLLOWING the community’s spectacular display of trees last year, the Friends of St Conan’s Kirk at Lochawe are again organising a Christmas tree festival for this first weekend in December.
How many trees will there be this year? Last year 40 decorated trees were contributed. The inside of the kirk looked magical and was featured on BBC Alba and in The Oban Times under the heading ‘Tree-mendous!’.
This year invitations have been sent out to community groups, businesses, tourist attractions and schools over a wide area from Cairndow to Oban. Everyone decorating a tree has the opportunity to highlight their organisation and have some fun at the same time.
