A 67-YEAR-OLD man from Seil has been disqualified from driving for 63-months and fined £1,010 for driving without a licence and refusing to give a breath sample.
Iain Henderson of Balvicar Boatyard, Seil Island, pleaded guilty to driving while already disqualified, driving without insurance and failing, without reasonable excuse, to provide two samples of breath.
The initial incident took place on October 23 last year on Lorn Road in Dunbeg. In Henderson’s defence, solicitor Eddie Thorton said his client accepts alcohol has played a big part in his life and is taking steps to deal with his drink-related issues.
