Hundreds turn out for pontoon opening

THE OPENING of Ulva Ferry’s eight-berth pontoon on Saturday marked another moment in the community’s ambitions to turn a rural coastline on the Isle of Mull into a vibrant location for families to live.

The pontoon opening shows the tide has turned for the ambitious community which at one time had been told its school would close due to lack of people moving into the area.
