A GRANT of £1.9 million from the Heritage Lottery Fund will regenerate Rothesay town centre. The Isle of the Bute town’s seafront will now benefit from almost £3 million of repairs and improvements, with Argyll and Bute Council having already com mitted £200,000 to the scheme and £500,000 being secured from Historic Environment Scotland to be invested in the town, around Victoria and Montague Streets.
This next phase of the scheme will be delivered between now and October 2022.
The focus of the scheme will be to repair five priority buildings and traditional windows, and restore eight shopfronts.
