Highland games will be a measure for the rest

IT MAY have been the wettest Highland games in the history of Highland games but that did not deter the folk of the Morvern peninsula who turned out to enjoy the day.

The full range of events took place with people appearing as if from out of the rain clouds to take part.

Organisers said they had thought about cancelling the event and said with such a busy games and gala week planned it might not go ahead at all.

It was just as well as it seemed that many people had travelled to take part in the social side of the event – if not for the events themselves.

The beer tent was packed full of people watching events from the relative dryness.
