A 20-YEAR-OLD Fort William man has been ordered to carry out 80 hours of community work and has been placed on the sex offenders’ register for 18 months.
Igor Sliwinski, of 4 Cameron Terrace, Mary Street, Fort William, appeared before Sheriff Eilidh MacDonald on Tuesday July 18 for sentencing after admitting throwing salt at a police officer and biting him; repeatedly spitting on another officer and engaging in an indecent offence while in a cell at Fort William Police station.
Sliwinski also admitted breaching one of the conditions of an earlier community payback order by not showing up for unpaid work in the community on one occasion. The sheriff revoked this order and put in place a new order to complete 60 hours of work in three months.
