Luing residents contacted The Oban Times this week bringing the never-ending row over bin collections to the fore again.
Householders on the island were upset after their bins had been left overflowing with rubbish for around a month because of a broken-down bin lorry.
Understandably, islanders are worried this is just the start of what is to come, bearing in mind that Argyll and Bute Council’s proposed changes to rubbish collections are about to kick in. One resident said while there had been difficulties with the collections in the past, they had never seen it this bad.
