Mull residents urged to use ‘life-saving’ app

A ‘SUPER postcode’ could help save lives and time on Mull, a councillor has said.

Mary-Jean Devon endorsed the use of an app that provides people with a more accurate postcode. The app, what3words, has divided the world into threemetre- square grids, with each section being assigned three unique words.

These words can then be entered into the app’s map, providing a more accurate location. This could be used by anyone from small businesses delivering goods to doctors trying to find patients.
