Glasgow Accordion and Fiddle Club signs off for Christmas

The Glasgow Accordion and Fiddle Club has been a fantastic new addition to the Glasgow social scene and its inception has been a real highlight of 2017.

The club recently held a Christmas special with two wonderful six-piece bands taking to the stage in the Scotstounhill Bowling Club: the Iain Cathcart Scottish Dance Band and Andrew Knight and the West Telferton Caledonian Scottish Dance Band. Andrew Knight on fiddle was joined on drums by his son. On lead accordion was Richard Ross, Karen Ingram was on second box, and Russell Hunter was on piano.

Iain Cathcart’s band was made up of Iain himself on lead accordion, Alasdair MacCulloch on fiddle, James Coutts on second box, Graham Berry on piano, and Scott Gordon on drums.
