LOCHABER residents are being invited to the Loch Eildhe Mor hydro scheme open day on
Thursday October 5. The event will run from 12.15-12.30pm for registration at the old smelter, 12.45pm for presentations and then from 1.30- 2.30pm for an informal lunch.
Hydro developer Green Highland Renewables is hosting the community open day when there will be a chance to have look around the project which has begun generating green power just above Kinlochleven. ‘The event is an opportunity to visit the power house, ask questions and hear a short presentation about the scheme. It will then be officially opened by local councillor Andrew Baxter,’ said company managing director Ian Cartwright.
