OBAN Lorne’s fixture headache continues with the postponement of Saturday’s league match home to Stewartry RFC being postponed meaning another re-arranged game in an already prolonged season for the men in green.
A decision was made on on Friday to postpone the weekend’s fixture because of waterlogged pitches at Glencruitten and North Connel and with Stewartry arranging accommodation in Oban on the Friday evening, an early decision on the game had to be made. This is the fourth time this season Oban Lorne have failed to fulfill a home game because of unplayable pitches. There is now a huge backlog of games which means the club is not to play its last league match until Saturday May 12.
