Volunteers join in clean-up at Soroba viewpoint

SATURDAY saw the first clear-up in preparation for the Viewpoint Oban Community Centre. Twenty or so hardy volunteers came out in the drizzling rain to start the mammoth task of clearing the site next to the railway line where a new community centre serving the whole of Oban will be built.

From 11am, Chris and Ronnie from RM Tree Services, and Hire and Supplies from Mill Lane, along with Man and a Van George Berry took on the unenviable task of clearing logs, branches, debris and log after log from the site.
