Police to continue Skye road safety crackdown after 20 drivers snared

MORE than 20 drivers have been caught in a road safety operation on Skye.

A week-long roads campaign was carried out on the island after concerns were raised by residents and community groups.

The operation saw 15 drivers charged with speeding, two people charged with drink-driving, two vehicles seized for having no insurance and a driver reported for having no valid driving licence, along with other offences in relation to inappropriate driving and vehicle defects.
