Garden party to mark rail anniversary

THE West Highland Community Rail Partnership has celebrated its first year in business.

Members of the partnership, which helps to bring the stations back into the hands of communities from Mallaig to Crianlarich, held a garden party on Saturday September 17 at Arisaig railway station.

Hege Hernaes, left, and rail partnership chairman Oliver Millington get the party started, with music provided by Royal Scottish National Orchestra’s string section.
