Currie bags second place in championship opener

MULL rally driver Alasdair Currie kick-started his championship assault with a fantastic second overall.

The 19-year-old is contesting the Fiesta ST Trophy this year in the BTRDA Rally championship. Currie and long term co-driver Steven Brown contested the Malcolm Wilson Rally in Cumbria last weekend and are delighted with the result.

‘This has been a long time coming. I am so pleased to get a solid finish especially from such a strong field of drivers. The other competitors have much more experience on gravel than me, so to be right at the sharp end straight away is a huge confidence boost.’
