Mull man fined £650 for two offences

A 20-YEAR-OLD driver from Mull will have his licence revoked after receiving six penalty points for driving without insurance.

Darren Clark, of 10 Millbrae, Bunessan, also received a £300 fine for the offence when he appeared at Oban Sheriff Court on August 14.

Clark’s solicitor, Jane McLaren, argued for a special defence, saying her client had no idea he wasn’t insured as his employer had taken him off the company’s insurance without telling him.
