Testing conditions at Lochaber Yacht Club regatta

LOCHABER Yacht Club’s annual regatta provided a stern test for sailors on Saturday, as the challenging conditions on Loch Linnhe made for some competitive racing.

Wintery winds and relentless rain made the initial morning racing particularly tricky.


Club commodore, Hamish Loudon said: ‘Conditions for the morning races were challenging to say the least. Gusts of 25 knots and above gave the safety boat some work to do standing by the capsized dinghies.
