STIRLING – Caledonian Marts Ltd on Thursday January 18 sold 187 cattle, comprising 101 prime bullocks, heifers and young bulls, 72 cast cows and bulls and 14 young calves. All classes upheld recent late rates and many more could have been sold.

Bullocks sold to 245p for a Limousin from Learielaw, Broxburn purchased by T Johnston, Butchers, Falkirk Heifers sold to 245p (three times) for Limousins from Easter Ochtermuthill, Muthill; Brockwoodlees, Canonbie, and Learielaw to Hugh A Black & Sons and Charles Kirkpatrick. Leading prices.
