Sentence deferred over woman’s ‘violent behaviour’

AN OBAN woman could face a custodial sentence if she does not stop her ‘drunken, violent behaviour’.

At Oban Sheriff court last Tuesday (August 16), Lorna Campbell, 51, was accused of acting in a threatening or abusive manner and causing fear and alarm at her home at 34b Soroba Road, Oban, on the evening of January 24, when she called 999 stating she was in possession of a knife.

Campbell pleaded guilty to the charge. Procurator fiscal Eoin McGinty told the court she had threatened to hurt herself and police arrived to see her at the window.
