Fire service moves to allay hydrant fears after blaze

EIGHT weeks after two homes were destroyed by a fire in Ardgour, the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) has attempted to allay residents’ fears this week as it confirmed there were no faults with the hydrants at the site.

Four fire engines were called to North Corran, Ardgour, on Thursday March 1 as flames ripped through one semidetached house before spreading to a second. Firefighters eventually managed to extinguish the blaze before leaving the area just before 7pm that evening.
