Councillor’s fears over care hours

A ‘COLOSSAL’ deficit of ‘500 hours’ of community care in Oban, Lorn and the Isles area could mean its new integrated care system is ‘heading for a fall’, fears a local councillor.

Councillor Iain MacLean raised the question of a ‘500 care hours deficit’ at the October meeting of the Oban, Lorn and Isles Locality Health and Care Forum, where the figure met no denial from Councillor Kieron Green, policy lead for health and social care, or from Argyll and Bute Health and Social Care Partnership.
