Barcaldine, Benderloch and Connel

SIGHTINGS of red squirrels are common in North Connel but one squirrel with a white tail is causing quite a stir.

This distinctive red squirrel has been sighted in gardens along the Bonawe Road over the past few weeks. A white-tailed red squirrel was sighted in the same area last year and it is unknown if this is the same one.

Keen nature photographers are on the lookout so if you spot this rare visitor, please post on The Oban Times Facebook Page.
