ITEMS discussed at the November meeting of Kilmallie

Community Council included:

Complaints of bad smells from Duisky:

KCC had received a complaint of bad smells from a Loch Eil resident that were attributed to the Duisky landfill site. The Scottish Environment Protection Agency will carry out a routine inspection of the site in January. Noone was at the meeting to provide further information but it is something that could be investigated by environmental health. KCC had stressed the need to collect information in the form of a bad smell diary, including wind conditions, so that the source can be accurately identified. Environmental health are also more likely to respond if there is more than one complaint.
