Lochaline Terra’s picks up top award

LOCHALINE Primary School pupil Terra Grier won two gold and four bronze medals when she competed at the recent Dwarf Sport Association National Games.

Held in Birmingham at the end of April, nine-year-old Terra, who has achondroplasia, a form of dwarfism which mainly affects the long bones, picked up golds in hockey, which she practised for by playing shinty at school, and indoor curling.

She also secured bronze medals in javelin and all of her swimming events – 50m breaststroke, 25m breaststroke, and 25m freestyle.
