Court hears Lochaber man left wife feeling ‘suffocated’

A LOCHABER man left his wife feeling ‘suffocated’ after he tried to control her by banning her from nights out and hiding her phone, a court heard.

Ewen MacKenzie, 41, has pleaded not guilty to acting in a way which caused Linda MacKenzie, his wife, fear or alarm over a five-month period starting in January this year.

The charges against Mac- Kenzie, from Donald Row, Gleannan Cross, Morar, near Mallaig, include stopping Ms Mackenzie from wearing makeup and shouting and swearing at her.
