Fort William nightclub given seal of approval by planners

PLANS for a new Fort William nightclub have been approved.

Members of the Highland Council’s south planning applications committee agreed at their meeting on Tuesday to change the use of the currently vacant Everest restaurant at 141B High Street, Fort William, to a nightclub.

Applicant David Smillie submitted the proposal in March but the application was referred to the committee after eight objections were made.
